New Urban Eats is back!

By Geoff Carter

NWsource staff

Over at 94 Stewart [0], they're dishing up lamb shoulder with grilled onion, cider glaze, ceci bean, tomato and shaved L'Ulivo. The Jones [0] has a morel mushroom and English pea ravioli with chervil beurre blanc, with strawberry terrine for dessert. And even as you and I have this little chat, 0/8 Seafood Grill [0] is serving up cedar-plank-roasted salmon and roasted fingerling potatoes.

The great food is out there right now, my friends ... and thanks to the return of New Urban Eats [0], NWsource's totally awesome dining promotion, we can enjoy three courses of it at some of the city's hottest new restaurants for the paltry sum of of $30 per person. It's more expensive -- and, at the end of the day, far less fulfilling -- to fill the tank of your Subaru.

If this is your first NUE, here's how it works: Nearly two dozen local restaurants (the complete list, with menus, is here [0]) are offering special prix-fixe menus from now until May 29. The restaurants offer three choices of appetizer, entree and dessert. You pick one of each, they bring 'em, you devour 'em and you swear your eternal devotion to your new favorite restaurant. (And then, ahem, you tip.)

This is your chance to learn about the brightest emerging culinary stars in Seattle's dining universe at a price that won't break you. Don't let this event pass you by without getting a taste of the new.
