Pet boutique High Maintenance Bitch reopens in Wallingford

By Lisa Wogan

After closing its doors for a long nap, High Maintenance Bitch [0] reopens this weekend.

If you haven't heard of High Maintenance Bitch (HMB) or read the sassy pink book [1]by the same name, or watched brother-and-sister founders Lori and Ryan Pacchiano on reality TV (Ryan most recently on Showdog Moms and Dads [2]), you probably aren't the proud, pampering parent of a blinged-out lap dog.

This Wallingford boutique is stocked exclusively with upscale, girly-girl HMB-brand clothing, jewelry and accoutrements -- even Cosmuttics makeup for dogs, including a mascara with glitter called Wiskara. This six-year-old, Seattle-based family enterprise churns out 300 product lines sold around the world.

The store will keep limited hours (to be announced) three to four days a week including weekends. But Lori Pacchiano is willing to open by appointment for dog-lovers with nontraditional shopping hours.
