To raise awareness about pet adoption, adoptable dogs from the Seattle Humane Society [1] will walk the catwalk in fashionable doggy duds from Railey's Leash & Treat [2] and be available for adoption immediately following the event.
When: Friday Sept. 5, 11 a.m.
Where: Hotel Monaco [3], 1101 Fourth Ave. (corner of Fourth Avenue and Spring Street)
Cost: Free! Dog lovers and their canine companions are welcome to attend, and will receive complimentary "doggy bags" from Three Dog Bakery [4].
Those wishing to adopt a dog must be at least 18 years of age and should bring proof of home ownership or landlord approval. All on-site applications are subject to approval by an adoption advisor. Adoption fees range between $50 to $250 depending on the age and breed of the dog. The fee includes a six-week dog training class at Seattle Humane Society. Well worth the cost!
