Favorite work of public art (that's not in Fremont)
'Sound Garden' at NOAA
"Sound Garden," created in the early 1980s by Doug Hollis, is your favorite piece of public art, even though the musical sculpture — located on the grounds of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration — hasn't been accessible to the public since 9/11. Still, the sounds of Sound Garden play on, even from behind a chain-link fence.
