Though barely two years old, ART triumphed in this category over such stalwart companies as Empty Space Theater and ACT. Though we haven't yet seen one of ART's productions, we have to say that the kind of theater company that would stage an Alan "Six Feet Under" Ball play ("Power Lunch") and an Edward "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" Albee play ("The Zoo Story") on the same night is our kind of absurd. We imagine that an upcoming production of Jules Feiffer's "Little Murders" will only confirm this company's far-reaching ambitions.
