Your average Wal-Mart is a big, easily-escaped place with plenty of towering displays one can hide behind -- and besides, the closest Wal-Mart branches to Seattle are in Renton, Federal Way, Everett and the like. Stick to Capitol Hill, and while you'll pay full price for toilet paper and cleaning supplies, your reputation will remain untarnished.
