Their portabella Wellington is the stuff of local culinary legend, their recent cookbook is a must-have even for omnivores and the restaurant's lush Madison Valley setting is one of the nicest spots in town to have brunch. So it's no surprise that Flora beat out worthy opponents (including Phinney Ridge's Carmelita) by a wide margin. And while the menu includes veggie standbys such as falafel and black-bean burgers, it also plays with fusion and imitation. Two examples: the shiitake mushroom-and-mango pizza and a vegan French dip that dares to compete with the beefy original recipe.
