Take a step toward happier feet with Wee Luxuries balms
The local company specializes in aromatic concoctions for heels and other dry spots

If you're like me, your feet have spent the past few months ensconced in boots, bared only at home and in the yoga studio. But with sandal season looming, your feet are about to be exposed, so the time has come to show a little love to your heels and toes.
While a weekly pedicure would be divine, it doesn't always fit within the budget. Instead, try affordable Healing Heel Sticks ($9.95 each or three for $25) from local company Wee Luxuries. The moisturizing roll-on balms coat heels, elbows and other dry spots with a mixture of beeswax and cocoa and shea butters. Because the moisture comes in the form of a stick, there's no messy lotion to apply.
In addition to Healing Heel Sticks, the Wee Luxuries line includes Helping Hand Sticks ($9.95 each or three for $25) for smooth palms. Both sticks are available in jumbo sizes ($14.95 each) and come in 17 unique scents, including blueberry muffins, laundry day, yuzu citrus and "sparkling clean."
In addition to spreading delicious scents, Wee Luxuries, which is owned by Bothell resident Michelle Gephart, spreads the wealth to aid organizations, donating a portion of their profits to World Vision, a Christian relief and development organization, and The Smile Train, which repairs cleft lip and palate disorders in poor children.
Wee Luxuries sells its products on its own Web site, as well as the shopping Web site Etsy. Through March, Etsy shoppers can purchase a Healing Heel Stick in the original scent, called Grampa's Dewberry, for only $6.95 with free shipping. The scent is a light combination of honeydew melon and mulberries.
