If I could save anything this year, it would be time. It seems like there's so little of it to go around, with too few hours in the day to get everything crossed off my list. And when I am able to go grocery shopping, return library books and get an oil change, there's no time left for the extras, like getting my brows done.

But there may be hope for me yet. Licensed aestheticians Anne Pennington and Lisabet de Vos are making personal care convenient for busy women and men in and around Seattle. The dynamic duo is otherwise known as the Mod Beauty Squad, a new mobile service that brings the spa to you.

Pennington and de Vos understand that you're busy, and that sometimes you skip the spa because you simply don't have time to get there and back. So they've packed up a portable spa -- complete with a pop-up spray-tanning booth -- so they can bring the waxing, tanning and tinting to you.

The Mod Beauty Squad will come to your home, office or event space, as long as it's in the greater Seattle area, including Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond and Bothell. Gather up yourself and at least five friends or co-workers and choose your services, or let the Mod Beauty Squad create a custom package for you. The more people at your party, the less expensive each service becomes.

For example, an airbrush bronzing treatment costs $50 per person for six to 11 people, but goes down to $42 when there are 24 or more. (The aforementioned, self-contained pop-up tanning booth makes the whole process a breeze.)

Other spa services include brow and lip waxing, lash and brow tinting, and mini skin treatments personalized to your specific skin care needs. The Mod Beauty Squad uses Dermalogica skin care products (Pennington was an educator for the company), and also sells the products at parties and online. The duo drops pearls of skin care wisdom as they go -- stay hydrated and out of the sun is their mantra.

The Mod Beauty Squad whisks in to offer relief from bushy brows, then whisks right out again, leaving no evidence of their visit except beautiful brows and maybe a newly bronzed bod. For information on how to book your Mod Beauty Squad party, visit www.modbeautysquad.com.
