Fans of art and fashion will find both of their passions under one roof March 13 when the Twilight Artist Collective joins forces with three popular West Seattle boutiques -- Carmilia's, Clementine and Sweetie -- for a fashion show during the West Seattle Art Walk. The free event, Art Meets Fashion, will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Twilight's gallery and retail space near the West Seattle Junction.
Founded in 2005 by Seattle artists Erin Crawford, Mary Enslow and Cheryl Robinson, the Twilight Artist Collective showcases the work of more than 100 local artists and craftspeople at their locations in Pike Place Market and West Seattle. The trio boasts skills as eclectic as the work they sell: Crawford is a collage artist, Enslow focuses on painting and sculpting and Robinson is a commission chalkboard artist and potter.
For Thursday's fashion show, Twilight and the three boutiques have invited local artists and designers to showcase fashionable, wearable art. Sip free wine and snack on cheese and fruit while perusing Chemical Wedding's dyed-leather and wood handbags, hammered silver jewelery from Shelli Markee and woolly knitted apparel from Portland's Jenna Robertson.
