The Eastside rules the runway during Fashion Week

The retail behemoths of the Eastside strut their stuff during The Bellevue Collection Fashion Week '07 Sept. 14-22, nine days dedicated to fall fashion. The fun runs the high-style gamut, from major runway shows to a masquerade evening hosted by yoga clothier Lululemon. Events take place all week in and around Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square and Bellevue Place.

Among the highlights:

Nordstrom Fashion Show
Sept. 14, 7 p.m., Fashion Axis in Lincoln Square, $50-$100
Guests can sip wine, sample hors d'oeuvres and ogle fall fashions during a runway show featuring new looks from Nordstrom's noncouture women's apparel departments (Individualist, Savvy, TBD, etc.). Proceeds benefit the Detlef Schrempf Foundation.

Posh Party – Girls' Night Out
Sept. 15, 6 p.m., Fashion Axis in Lincoln Square, $50
Like ladies' night, but with shopping! Local rockabilly crooners the Dusty 45s provide accompaniment for this cocktail-and-appetizer soiree. A runway show showcases goods from shops such as BCBG and Sway & Cake. Attendees get free admission to VIP shopping later that evening at Bellevue Square and swag bags stocked with goodies ranging from InSpa foot-rescue kits to headbands. Must be 21 or older to attend.

Lululemon Athletica Manifesto Masquerade
Sept. 18, 7-9 p.m., Fashion Axis in Lincoln Square, $20-$25
Great style is as at home in the yoga studio as it is on the runway. At this laid-back event, you'll enjoy healthy snacks, yoga and trapeze demonstrations, henna art, face painting and a fashion show featuring Lululemon activewear.

Shoot In Style – Men's Night Out
Sept. 19, 6-9 p.m., Parlor Billiards and Spirits, $20
This one sold out last year. Manly pursuits such as perfecting trick shots at the pool table and flaunting Xbox skills during a competition are paired with style advice from apparel and fashion consultant Bruce Pflaumer of Pstyle. Swag bag loot includes Tumi key fobs and Helly Hansen hats. Must be 21 or older to attend.

The Collective Trend Show
Sept. 21, 7 p.m., Fashion Axis in Lincoln Square, $35
Appetizers accompany a smorgasbord of fall fashion at this runway show featuring Bellevue retailers. Fashionistas can feast their eyes on fresh-off-the-truck looks from David Lawrence, Coach, Shoefly and many others. Must be 21 or older to attend.

David Lawrence Fall Fashion Spectacular
Sept. 22, 7 p.m., Fashion Axis in Lincoln Square, $25-$30
This fall runway show from one of the region's most trendsetting retailers will include fall looks from Versace, D&G, Rock & Republic, Hugo Boss and Roberto Cavalli. Head to David Lawrence's Bellevue Square store after the show for hors d'oeuvres, music and giveaways. Proceeds benefit the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
