If you're planning a spring getaway and feel torn between packing clothes that look great and clothes that travel well, consider the spring collection from Sworn Virgins, a Los Angeles label that offers easy-to-care-for, eco-conscious fashions.
Not only is Sworn Virgins' collection full of flirty sundresses, lightweight tops and body-hugging skirts made from sustainable bamboo grown in the United States, the garments wick away moisture, don't require dry cleaning and resist wrinkling. Just roll, fold and cram the lightweight styles into your luggage, then steam away the creases with a hot shower when you arrive at your destination.
"Our material is not only eco-friendly, but it is anti-crease, too!" says Sworn Virgins designer Roshanne Aghevli, who crafts the bamboo jersey into short and slinky dresses, flowing tunic tops and more.
The company further reduces its carbon footprint by using reclaimed water and dyeing treatments that are less harmful to the environment but still result in bold, bright colors such as fuchsia, teal and emerald.
Sworn Virgins tops, tunics, pants and dresses range from $80 to $220 and are available at various local boutiques, including Alhambra, Illi and Moda Xpress.
