Go mad for Romanza's chic New Year's hats

For me, New Year's Eve isn't complete without "Auld Lang Syne," something bubbly in my glass, a house full of friends and a fun, over-the-top party hat. But, take my advice, finding the right hat to ring in 2007 can sometimes be a chore. You'll likely strike out at most chain stores, and even party stores can let you down unless you're happy to settle for a birthday hat. That's why I was happy to discover Romanza's chic supply.

This Ballard store, which carries an eclectic mix of home, gift and novelty items, has stocked its shelves with festive hats ($25 each) by Glitterville. Choose from several holiday-themed varieties, which sport glittery stripes and white fringe, or opt for one that features the New York City skyline – the Empire State Building and all.
