Find gift wrap galore at the Midori Holiday Heaven Sale, Nov. 21-22

There should be a support group for people who are addicted to collecting ribbon, paper and other decorative doodads used for wrapping gifts.
Instead there is the annual Midori Holiday Heaven Sale, a once-a-year extravaganza at the Midori outlet in Queen Anne, happening on the weekend of Nov. 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the sale and the 20-year anniversary of Midori itself. Gift-wrap aficionados will know that the Midori name is synonymous with gorgeous high quality ribbons in silk, taffeta, organdy and more, as well as unique hand-pressed, recycled-cotton paper made by artisans in India.
According to Jeff Osborn, Midori's marketing coordinator, sale customers can expect "samples, seconds and slightly damaged but still completely usable products for less than wholesale prices."
While he wouldn't divulge too many details about the specific products for sale, he did say that there would be newer, recently discontinued styles and colors. He also said there will be a few of their popular yet discontinued decorative gift boxes available at the sale.
He went on to warn that "last year there was a line forming about an hour before the sale opened," adding that people come from across the state in hopes of finding a good deal. "People know they can expect a great quality product at a great price at our sale."
As an added bonus for early birds, Trophy Cupcakes will be offering complimentary cupcakes and coffee both mornings of the sale.
If you can't make it to the Holiday Heaven Sale, don't panic. Midori has a smaller monthly warehouse sale on the first Friday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with November's happening this week on the 6th.
Midori is also a sponsor of Urban Craft Uprising and will be at their Winter Show on Dec. 5 and 6 with hourly demos.
Midori is located at 708 6th Ave. N., Seattle 98109 and is only open to the public during designated sales. Packaging Specialties carries a large selection of Midori products if you need your fix at other times.
