Among those who frequent design blogs, Joy Deangdeelert Cho's new line of paper goods was eagerly anticipated. A textile designer by trade and blogger by hobby, Cho is the brain behind Oh Joy!, where she shines the spotlight on stylish products that cut across the design spectrum to include fashion, jewelry, home decor and bridal.
Her paper goods line, Nantaka Joy, combines her keen eye for emerging trends with this season's hottest materials, such as metallics and Kraft paper. Scalloped-edge journals ($14) in nubby fabric are offered alongside elegant gold foil thank-you cards ($6 each), all glossed over with a metallic sheen. The entire line is available at Lucca Great Finds in Ballard.
While Cho's name isn't household yet, it's possible that her textile designs are already in your home: She was part of the team that developed the Swell/Cynthia Rowley collection for Target, and she's done pattern work for Freddy&Ma handbags.
