Most small towns around Seattle have a historic main street that retains the charm of yesteryear. In Burien, 152nd street is home to many cute little shops; Renton's little downtown has great antique shopping; and while it might be a bit of a road trip, good shopping has arrived in historic Marysville.

Named one of Northwest Home magazine's "2008 Top Shops," Gatherings is an interiors boutique that carries "everything from beautiful French, Swedish and Italian 18th and 19th century antiques to lovely spa products from Côté Bastide, heady candles from D.L. & Co., as well as extraordinary garden statuaries."

On Saturday, Nov. 15 from 4 to 7 p.m., Gatherings will host its annual open house and welcome Details Home Decor and Gifts, the newest addition to the Marysville shopping scene. With everything in the store at 20 percent off, it's the perfect time to check out what Marysville has to offer.
