Tired of the mess? Sara Eizen helps parents tame toy tornados.

As the interior redesigner and organizer at Nest, Eizen helps families refocus their living space -- using what they’ve already got on hand.

Her main advice for winter with kids? “Declutter,” Eizen says. “With the colder months coming up we tend to be inside more. Therefore you want as much living space as possible in your home.”

That can be a challenge, after the dolls, puzzles, Legos and Playmobil from Grandma, Grandpa, aunts and uncles arrive. And so Eizen steps in. Eizen can also suggest tasteful ways to contain toys, such as ottomans with empty interiors. Voila! Chic toy chest.

There’s never been a better time to purge and reconsider your space than December, because of the influx of stuff. So for this month only, Eizen is offering new clients two hours of organizing and décor consultation for the price of one hour (two hours for $125).
