The Easter Bunny's on his way – to your table

March 16, 2007

Sur La Table

Every year when April rolled around, my mother used to turn our house into a veritable Easter basket. There were painted eggs, stuffed bunnies, and table centerpieces decorated with daffodils and chickadees. While I tend to avoid any kind of cutesy décor in my own home, I do like to embrace the season with a little whimsy. But finding tasteful items can be tough, especially for spring.

Then I saw Sur La Table's new Easter-inspired items. Cute, but not too over-the-top, their pastel-colored, square-shaped hand-painted ceramic bunny plates ($19.95/set of four) are a fun way to serve appetizers or dessert at a springtime brunch. With "Chirp Chirp" stitched on its front, the vintage-style Easter towel ($9.95) is another way to decorate your kitchen for spring – as an accent piece for a refrigerator or oven door.
