Little feet have flair in shoes by See Kai Run

February 26, 2007

Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Suri Cruise may not be old enough to tie their own shoes, but their good taste in footwear is already making headlines. While they're years away from sporting Jimmy Choos, the paparazzi are already snapping photos of their little feet snugly fitted in shoes by See Kai Run, a local company that produces footwear for babies and children ages six months and up.

The company – founded by Cause Haun, a local mother on the quest for more stylish and comfortable shoes for her son, Kai – creates hand-crafted sheepskin shoes that range from vibrant fuchsia, orange and yellow-striped Mary Janes to classic blue-and-white trainers.

They're more than just adorable, however. The shoes, ranging in price from about $32 to $40, are made to be functional (mud-puddle friendly) and ergonomically suited for baby's first steps thanks to padded collars and breathable butter-soft leather lining. The soles are also constructed from extremely flexible thermoplastic rubber, a new material reported to be more flexible and durable than traditional rubber, protecting new walkers' feet on all kinds of terrain.

See Kai Run has just released 13 new shoe designs for its 2007 spring and summer collection. Look for them at Nordstrom, Sole Food and other local retailers. To learn more, visit www.seekairun.com.
