In the five years since she launched Simply Wed
in Lynnwood, Kirstie Warren has discovered there are plenty of brides and
grooms who want Rex in on the celebration. "Dogs are often like a
couple's first children, so it's natural they want to incorporate them

I usually wash my dogs in the backyard with the hose. It's a cold, chaotic, treat-heavy experience. But today, I turned my guest bathtub into a mini dog spa to sample one of a new line of animal skin care products recently launched by Bellevue organic chemist Adelia Ritchie.

My dog will not wear the Velcro-strap, rubber-soled booties that look so adorable on sled dogs. Whenever I put them on her, she goes into a berserker frenzy. So, when I saw Pawz Protective Dog Boots, I thought, maybe.

Today, while working on a piece about cat training for next week, I was happy to learn that it's possible to teach a cat tricks and good habits despite my abject failure (or rather non-effort) with a cat named Katie oh-so-many-years ago.
