I'm not a baker myself -- in fact, I rarely even cook. But still, there's something about creating something from scratch that feels homey, especially during the holidays. That's why, in its upcoming holiday issue, CityDog Magazine (for which I am also the editor) will feature recipes from Seattle-area dog lovers. If you have a dog treat recipe you would like to share with fellow Pet Dish and CityDog readers, please tell me about it in the comment section below.
However, if you're like me and try to avoid the kitchen as much as possible, then you'll love these new treats from Seattle company Droolz Organics. Essentially, Droolz is ready-made dog treat dough, cut in the shapes of hearts and circles that you simply drop on a cookie sheet, pop in the oven and 15 minutes later you have fresh dog treats. Droolz is wheat-free, soy-free, sugar-free and corn-free and there are no pesticides or meat by-products -- only human-grade meats, fruits and veggies.
