Gentle Snark
It's time you checked out this classy exhibition of dirty art. I don't mean to diminish the Seattle Erotic Art Festival in any way, but I can't think of a better way to describe what it's all about. SEAF is a celebration of thoughtful, inspirational and even beautiful dirty art. The atmosphere is avant-garde, the performances are mesmerizing, the attendees are glamorous, and the art is dirty, dirty, dirty. Dirty, I tell you.

Convergence Zone
It was my pleasure to attend the Seattle Erotic Art Festival this past weekend at the new Fenix (in the space formerly occupied by the Premier). The show featured local artists whose work I admire and – in some lucky cases – have begun to collect, including the brilliant cartoonist Ellen Forney, and the equally brilliant pin-up artist Krysztof Nemeth. It featured works by such well-known creators of erotic art as H.R. Giger, Brian Viveros and Annie Sprinkle. And SEAF introduced me to a bunch of artists, working in every medium, whose work I plan to become more familiar with in the coming year.
