balance, a sense of calm and well-being, stronger, leaner limbs. But
for those of us who are not perfectly proportioned, the struggle to
find well-fitting yoga gear can be more difficult than a backbend --
and can make yoga's rewards seem out of reach.

A random sample taken from men who practice yoga revealed where they get their yoga wear: Goodwill -- or their sweats-and-worn-T's-filled bottom drawer. OK, I actually only asked two guys in my yoga class. But after observing men in improvised yoga wear for years during my own practice, I'm pretty sure my survey results are accurate.

Once I reached a "certain age" I began to develop an aversion to shopping for clothes. Pants were tighter, blouses gapped. But it was the rear view from a three-way mirror in a brightly lit dressing room that was most shocking. Where did I get all that flesh on my back? It looked like the part of a chicken no one wanted.
